How these estimates are built

Cost guides online tend to fail in one of two ways: they quote a single national average that is wrong for almost everyone, or they quote a price with no labor included. We do neither.

  • Installed ranges, not material-only prices. Every number includes standard materials, site prep, and professional labor for the project.
  • A range instead of false precision. A 150-foot fence can legitimately cost $2,300 or $4,500 depending on region, access, and terrain. We show both ends.
  • Adjustments you can see. Size, material upgrades, removal, and local cost level are calculated separately so you can see what is driving the number.
  • Updated for 2026. Ranges reflect current lumber, vinyl, and metal prices plus typical contractor labor rates.
These are planning estimates, not bids. Always get at least three itemized local quotes before signing a contract.
